Bernard van Maarseveen is a New York-based writer and photographer. Prior to Johnny Zhivago's death, the two had collaborated on several scripts and short films. Afterwards, van Maarseveen sold the video equipment, fearing it was cursed, and used the proceeds to pay for Zhivago's funeral.
